A pallet jack is normally used to move heavy goods around easily. They are designed to effectively transport pallets, which form the base for other goods.

The steps involved in using this machine are as follows:

In the middle of the handle of the pallet jack is the release lever. Pulling on this lever will cause the prongs to drop to the floor. If the prongs are already lowered, they will be no more than a few centimeters above the floor.

Slide the prongs underneath the pallet. There are normally gaps that are spaced the same distance apart as the prongs.

The handle of the jack can then be used to raise the prongs. This is done by moving the vertical arm back towards you.

Once the pallet has been lifted off of the floor, you can begin to move the pallet jack around by pulling or pushing the handle in the direction you wish to go.
